WordPress repair FAQ

Straight answers before anyone touches your site.

These are the questions people ask before a WordPress repair, from pricing and access to backups, email delivery, malware, and what happens if the fault returns.

I do not know what is broken. Is that a problem?

No. That is the normal starting point. Tell us what you see, what visitors cannot do, and whether anything changed before the problem began. Finding the technical cause is our job.

How fast can you start?

If the site is down, hacked, or losing money, emergency work starts within two hours during opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm ET. Standard repairs start within one working day and are often handled sooner.

What does no fix, no fee mean?

If we accept the incident but cannot repair the fault, you pay nothing for that incident. There is no diagnostic charge and no partial invoice. We still explain what was found and, when possible, point you to the right next step.

How much does WordPress repair cost?

A Small Fix is $30, Standard Repair starts at $60, and Emergency Service starts at $200. Larger rescues, migrations, and rebuilds receive a flat quote before work begins. The quoted price does not move without a separately approved change in scope.

What access do you need?

Most repairs need a temporary WordPress administrator login. Serious faults may also need hosting access, database access, DNS access, or an email delivery account. We ask for the least access needed and recommend revoking temporary access when the work is complete. Do not put passwords in the public repair form.

Could a repair make the site worse?

Any live change carries risk, which is why a recoverable backup comes first. If a repair is too risky to test on the live site, we use a copy. The final check covers the original fault and the surrounding pages or tasks the repair could affect.

What if the same problem comes back?

If the same fault returns within 14 days, the follow-up is covered. A different fault is a new incident and receives its own price before work begins.

Can you fix WordPress contact forms and email delivery?

Yes. We work on Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, WooCommerce emails, password resets, SMTP plugins, and delivery providers. The check includes the form, sending method, DNS authentication, logs, destination mailbox, and an external delivery test.

Can you remove WordPress malware?

Yes. Malware work includes removing malicious code, identifying and closing the entry point, rotating affected keys, checking for unauthorized users or persistence, and helping request browser or search warning reviews.

Do you repair WooCommerce checkout problems?

Yes. Failed payments, missing shipping rates, carts that empty, stuck orders, broken account pages, and transactional emails can all be handled. A fault that blocks sales is treated as an emergency.

Do I need a monthly WordPress maintenance plan?

No. One-time repair does not require a subscription. Optional plans cost $10 or $20 per month and cover the checks, backups, and reports listed on the Monthly Care page. Repairs found by monitoring are quoted separately.

Can you move my WordPress site to a new host?

Yes. A planned migration covers the files, database, URL corrections, testing, and the final switch. The old site remains available until the replacement is proven. Email service stays outside the move unless it is explicitly included.

Do you build new websites?

Repair is the main work. A rebuild may make sense when the existing site is beyond economical repair, but a new site is not automatically used as an upsell. If another specialist is the better fit, we say so.

Do you work with designers and agencies?

Yes. We take overflow WordPress troubleshooting and can work behind the scenes. The agency remains the client’s contact, and the repair is returned with a clear technical note.

How do I pay?

Payment is by card or bank transfer after the work is done and you have confirmed the site is right. Emergencies over $300 require half up front.

Can you help if the hosting company says WordPress is the problem?

Yes. We can check whether the evidence points to WordPress, PHP, the database, DNS, TLS, server limits, or the hosting platform. If the host needs to make the change, we give you a specific finding to take back instead of sending you into another generic support loop.

Can you recover content without a recent backup?

Sometimes. WordPress revisions, host snapshots, database copies, web caches, and archived pages may contain recoverable material. Recovery is never promised before those sources are checked, and any missing portion is explained honestly.

Will you install more plugins to solve the problem?

Only when a plugin is the smallest sensible solution. Many faults come from conflicts, duplicate tools, or configuration, so adding another plugin without diagnosis can make the site harder to repair. We prefer the least change that produces a verifiable result.

What do I receive when the repair is finished?

You receive a working result, a check of the original task and nearby functions, and a plain-English note explaining the cause, the change made, and any follow-up that still matters. The same fault is covered for 14 days.

Are you affiliated with WordPress or Automattic?

No. WP Repair Men is an independent repair service and is not affiliated with the WordPress Foundation or Automattic.

Still unsure? Send the symptom.

A short description is enough. We will reply with the likely next step, the price level, and the access needed.
